Updated Vomotoxin Procedures (Beginning 12/08/2009)
Dear Customer:
We continue to conduct laboratory tests on corn and ddgs to determine mycotoxin levels. We unfortunately continue to see concerning levels of vomitoxin in our area. In order to ensure marketable quality in our DDGS, we plan to maintain load by load testing. Effective on Dec 8, 2009 we will be running a quantitative test that will allow you to know vomtoxin levels up to 10 ppm prior to unloading. We believe this will help you make a better decision if you should unload, or take this load elsewhere. We are modifying our discounts schedule on June 7, 2010 as well. New discounts in effect will be 5 cents each 1ppm (part per million) over 5.0 ppm up to 10.0ppm, loads testing over 10.0 ppm will have a 65 cent discount (total Vom discount). This situation is very dynamic, we encourage you to keep in close contact with us. We apologize for this major inconvenience during what has been an already difficult harvest. We look forward to working with you on satisfactory resolution to any issues that may arise as a result of this procedure change.
Thanks for you cooperation.
