Grains Lower Early Thursday
Corn futures are lower at 6 a.m. CST, soybeans lower and wheat lower.

6:00 a.m. CME Globex: March corn 1 3/4 cents lower, January soybeans 7 3/4
cents lower, and March Chicago wheat 1 1/2 cents lower.
CME Globex Recap: Grains are starting lower early with another round of
export sales figures due out from USDA at 7:30 a.m. CST. Corn and soybeans are
showing reluctance to push higher, while wheat appears to be accepting this
week's new lows.
OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 129.60 points lower
Wednesday at 15,843.53. The overnight session has the Dow Jones futures down 26
points early Thursday, indicating lower prices for U.S. stocks later Thursday
morning. Asian markets are higher with the Nikkei up 90 points at 15,510.
European markets are lower. The overnight crude oil market is $.07 higher at
$97.51 while Brent crude is $.38 lower at $109.32. The February gold contract
is $14.50 lower at $1,242.70 while the U.S. dollar index is up .07 at 79.96.
Soybeans at the Dalian Exchange were steady to lower while Malaysian palm oil
contracts were slightly higher.
